Connection, continued
To boost your oxytocin, comment on this post, pet an animal, reach out to a friend. Imagine your hypothalamus pumping it out and feel it coursing through your bloodstream, filling you up with love.
Hello everyone,
Â
In my last email, I wrote about how easy it can be to share a deep connection with someone, even a stranger. We know it makes us feel good, but why exactly is it so important?
Â
Short answer: oxytocin.
Oxytocin is commonly known as the love hormone, as it is mostly produced during sex, childbirth and breastfeeding. But actually ANY form of social bonding releases oxytocin - a study showed that chimpanzees who shared their meals had higher levels than those who ate alone.
Â
This hormone regulates our emotional responses, it builds trust and empathy, it alleviates depression, anxiety, PTSD and helps us to sleep better.
Â
It's that warm, toasty feeling we get from spending quality time with people we care about.
I don't know about you, but I could certainly use as much of that as possible.
Â
Our modern world allows for less connection and community than ever before. Instead, social media has trained our brains to crave instant doses of dopamine that we get when we pick up our phones, which can isolate us further and manipulate our moods.
This is why I'm bringing oxytocin and connection into my work.
Since July, I've been working with women in one-on-one sessions, in which I help them to connect to themselves, to tune into their essence, and to remove some of those energy drains and blocks.
I also use this time to listen to their stories and to get a reading of their energetic blueprint, which is important for the next part - the artwork. More on that soon.
If you would like to sink a little deeper into your beautiful self, get in touch.
Together we can shift some stagnant energy, and I can guide you to release old stories you've been carrying.
As a bonus, you'll get a dose of oxytocin from spending time together in this space and connecting from the heart.
And I can't wait to share this experience with you.
Next week, I'll share more about the magic that unfolds after these sessions, and what exactly you'll receive.
Tamzin xx
