This is so wonderful Tamzin! I've been thinking of reaching out to Heiter, so you sending me here to your post was very auspicious. I love the article - our perception of events really is up to us, which is both empowering and shitty! But it was the perfect reminder for me today as I'm deep in feelings and trying not to let them circle darkly. That its our beautiful wild-hearted beings that can help ground us is especially wonderful. Thank you. ❤️

Oh Natalie, thank you so much for such a lovely comment. I hope you enjoyed the full article. I truly believe that even in the darkest moments, joy is available to us. I hope you are feeling a bit better. Remember to lean in, feel all the uncomfortable and difficult things, just know when to pull yourself back up and not get drowned in them. It's such a tricky balance, but it is possible.

As for reaching out to Heiter, definitely do! The editor, Kiki, is wonderful.

Yes, I did indeed - helped me change a narrative before I even got out of bed this morning, reading it before I got up. I also gave an audilbe "oof" at 'We delay pleasure, because we’ve forgotten how to feel it, or because, perhaps on some level, we don’t believe that we deserve it. '. So good.

“Just think, if small moments can give you an electric charge of delight, then when those ‘bigger’ achievements or celebrations come, you’ll be open to such a deep sense of euphoria you might never have imagined.”

I absolutely love this quote. Thank you for the timely reminder. And happy travels! Morocco is one of my favorite places.
